The Seeds of Science/Roots of Reading® program at the Lawrence Hall of Science develops, disseminates, and implements inquiry science programs that integrate literacy instruction for students in grades K-8. Funded in part by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the National Science Foundation, the program works with commercial publishers to market and disseminate the curriculum in schools nationwide.
